Location and the size of the property. The property is very centrally located, just 15 minutes walk to the fish market the Kenroku-en and the garden. There are restaurants nearby and also come with a parking just across the street which was very handy. The host always responds my message in a minute, which was very good. Also, the house even did not look very big outside, it was actually very big, I love the setting of the bathroom. As we have an elderly travelling with us, it was so difficult to find a property that has bedroom downstairs.

Loved the hotel. Location was a little far out for us. Taxi back and forth to town was about $50 USD each way and some taxis only took cash. Hotel and staff were exceptional.

I’d give this 11/10 if I could. The owner and his team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely room with comfortable beds and a futon for our daughter (also comfortable) overlooking the peaceful garden. Breakfast each day was different, with several delicious courses. We had dinner one night at the hotel which was a gastronomical delight. All beautifully prepared in front of us. This hotel is situated in a quiet back street in the old town and walking distance from all the main places to see in Kanazawa. Not cheap but worth it. Highly recommended!

This is our second time staying in this fabulous house and it was just as perfect as the first time. Communication with Yumi san was brilliant and she answered all our questions and queries quickly (and arranged for a taxi to take us to the station after checking out). The house is exceptionally clean and very comfortable and has everything you would need! All the facilities work perfectly - brilliant shower pressure! Personally I think this is in the perfect spot for Kanazawa - it's right in the middle of everything, so close to the Castle and only 10 ~ 15 minute stroll to the Station and there are a number of combini's close by. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and we will be back!
