Wonderful location in the countryside above the village of Atena Lucana. The warmest possible welcome. The surprise was that this is a farm that cultivates ancient grains -- not only used in all their baked goods and pastas, but giving the names to each of its 6 rooms. It's the type of place we love and we plan to return to have at least a meal in their beautiful restaurant with its spectacular views of the hills. The room was immaculately clean, linens were lovely, bed was not the most comfortable -- this was the only minus. A charming place over all.

The pool was excellent, clean, fresh and in a sheltered spot at the side of the hotel. Everywhere was very clean and the staff, a delight. The bed most comfortable. Melita, on reception made us welcome and was very helpful.

Manager Biagio and the staff made our stay very enjoyable. We arrived late in the day, and upon request received a platter of local Italian food items. The restaurant is very above average. My standing lamb ribs were excellent.The room was large and very clean. We highly recommend The Magic Hotel.

We had a nice stay at this beautiful location. This place is perfect if you want to relax for a while during your holiday. The hostess was very friendly and gave us several recommendations for activities and food nearby. She also made delicious pastries for breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed.

I had a comfortable room in this building in the old part of town. I arrived by train and it is about a ten minute walk uphill from the station but I had missed the owner Angela's message that she would pick me up at the station. Angela will help with whatever advice you may need about the local area. A great choice for my stay of a couple of days in this friendly and welcoming part of Basilicata.

The hotel is new and the room was very tidy and comfortable. Staff members were professional and welcoming making our stay great. Breakfast was good with many savoury and sweet options. I would definitely recommend it.

It was a beautiful stay, and we leave with good memories and smiles. Extremely clean, in the middle of the nature, beautiful views. The brothers who run the resort were kind and helpful. We had homemade pasta both nights—my wife called the ravioli the best she’s had. The food was fresh and simple. The remote location was perfect for our vacation. The pool and views were great. We’d highly recommend this place for the setting, the warmth, and the food.
