Located in an old priory and re-decorated by the new owners, le Prieuré has a great atmosphere and a lot a of charm. It's friendly and caring staff makes you feel at home. I particularly loved having a mulled wine and playing board games after ski next to the fire in the lounge. Breakfast was excellent as well as diner. Indeed the restaurant is the best we tried in Pra-Loup : with traditional mountain recipes as raclettes, fondues, venison ragout, as well as excellent hamburgers and fries ! Good beds and great views from the bedrooms. Very practical location for skiing as the ski lift is accross the road and ski rentals next door.

Located at the foot of the ski slopes in Pra-Loup ski resort, Marmotel is only a 20-minute drive from Barcelonnette.

The location was perfect. You have a beautiful view of the mountain peaks and a lot of woodland. Really peaceful, you can hear the river flow and birds singing. The garden was really the best and I spent much time in there, reading and writing.

The staff were so friendly and wonderful. They met us at the car park to greet us & transported our heavy bags to our spectacular dome. These domes are so cool! Ours had a glorious view & a luxurious bath tub in it! There was also a fancy hammock on the terrace, which was lovely to lay on, with a glass of wine. The shower was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and they even had shoe heaters in the dome. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were kind enough to organise a beautiful welcome gift for us which was so delicious! 10/10
