The hotel is in a beautiful location, on a stretch of coast where the difference between the loess walls and the fairly high tides gives a very special experience. It really is outstanding. The sunsets are stunning, the sunrises also give wonderful reflections. The garden is airy, lovely, tasteful, taking advantage of the great location. As we didn't come for a swim, but for an excursion, we didn't try the pools. But they were clean and pleasantly situated. The hotel is not dated, it has a fresh feel, the different rooms are nicely separated. The restaurant was not crowded. Dinner is to be commended, we have been in many hotels of a similar category, but the cuisine of this one is definitely among the very best! The choice is not too wide, just right, but the flavour is not average at all, there was always something extra along the different themes. The dessert section is 10 points, outstanding among 4 star hotels. The breakfast does not have the same variety, but there were always fresh products and not the dozen cold cuts, but also more special meats and cheeses. Also grilled meats and fresh egg varieties. It was good, really good. The rooms are nice, the view here is very nice. The furniture is not up to date, but it's not worn out and the overall effect is good. The staff are friendly, direct and helpful. Especially the general staff (reception, programmes). Some of the older waiters were a bit grumpy, but not yet annoyingly so. The wifi is good, the parking is free.
