I have travelled all over the world using Booking.com, including many boutique-type hotels. It is rare that a hotel exceeds my expectations in every respect. This one did. This hotel is a relatively new, well-situated hotel in the heart of the old town, Cartagena. We asked for a quiet room, and received one. The only disadvantage with the room was that windows did not look out on anything and that they were sealed, but the room was relatively quiet in a very noisy city. To have a balcony room with openable windows means a lot of noise at night in Cartagena. We preferred to sleep! The room we had was equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, lots of room and a very good bathroom, complete with a large shower and a Japanese toilet (which is relatively rare in my experience). We initially had some difficulty with the TV, but staff rectified the problem quickly. The AC worked well and the room is equipped with a ceiling fan if one prefers to use it- we used both. The design of the hotel, including the finishes, demonstrates a well-thought out, professional team was involved. I was particularly impressed by the overall design of the common areas of the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The pool on level 4 is small but adequate for cooling down in a hot city. The hotel offers massage services. The companion hotel (Hotel Boutique Casona del Colegio) is available for meals and has a larger pool; it is located only 150 metres away, which is very convenient. For the cost, this hotel is a very good choice, allowing one to walk all over the old town and neighboring areas. Assuming that the hotel maintains its service standards and keeps its facilities in good condition, this is a hotel that I recommend without reservation.

The best hostel we stayed at in Colombia. The hostel staff is friendly and the service is excellent (something you don't normally come across in Colombia). The restaurant's food and drinks are really good. The dorm was clean and the beds have curtains, so you get a bit of privacy. The hostel staff also speaks English. Location is good in Getsemani walking distance to restaurants etc.

Great staff - super friendly, always ready to make for a comfortable and memorable stay. Welcoming us with a friendly smile every time we enter the hotel, offering a cool towel and refreshing juice. It was like home away from home thanks to Julio, Javier and Kati. Breakfast was also fantastic. Cocktails on the rooftop lounge with jacuzzi is really a luxury. Within walking distance to the happening spots of Getsemani 3-5 min. and the historical town 10-15 min but quiet and calm.

A beautiful quiet hotel in the midst of the buzz of Getsemani. At a central location so you easily walk into Getsemani and the rest of the old town. You can hear the buzz from the street if it is loud, but the hotel itself is relatively quiet, it really takes you to a serene space. The room was good, clean and functional. Bathroom was great! The rooftop pool was nice to relax at after wandering around town. Breakfast was good on one day the other a bit less but still ok. I would most likely stay again!

Lovely room and bath with lots of charming touches. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous rooftop with jacuzzi and lounge area overlooking a peaceful view of the fort and water with many birds. We could have sat there for hours! Our stay included breakfast and daily juice that were delicious. As well, the hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice hotel in a nice part of Cartagena. Comfy and spacious rooms with a great shower. Good breakfast which can be served on the rooftop if requested. The rooftop is lovely to just sit down and relax or to cool down in the jacuzzi.
