I chose the pousada for 1) its location, 2) the rate, 3) the likelihood of more Brazilian clients (i.e., away from the hyped-up resort type of pousadas), and 4) the reviews. The reviews mostly praised the friendliness of the staff. That was definitely a selling point. I could not agree more. The staff is excellent throughout the entire facility: polite, willing to help immediately, has a good sense of humor, and always smiles. Plus, the pousada was quiet at night for a relaxing sleep.

Breakfast was super big, nutritious, tasty and fresh. Elsi and the lady from the breakfast were super sweet and friendly. The place was one of the best small hotels I’ve ever been. Elsi, if you are reading this keep it up, keep the same level of attention to detail and expand your chain!
