Everything! It was exactly what we needed after a day's hike. We arrived at 5pm super hungry and they were flexible to get us dinner. The room were cosy authentic and comfortable, simple. The onsen was peaceful. The food was AMAZING, we had fish, sushi , hotpot , steak and the sobu noodles for just 20ish euros per person. We slept super good and when we had to leave the next morning they got us a taxi.

I loved this place, warm and attractive inside, and the owners were lovely. Very kind and sweet. Highly recommend. Great dinners too.

We felt absolutely welcomed by the staff as soon as we came through the door. They provided us with everything we needed and answered all of our questions. Beautiful traditional hotel which makes the stay even better, in a wholesome village.

The experince was truly cultural in everyway, there is a lot of interesting items in the apartment including a massive stock of japanese books.traditional bedding and furniture. The staff were truly great in everyway but comunication was difficult with mostly them only speaking Japanese. If your looking for the japanese experince then this is your place

The location is very convenient. It’s a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the slopes. There is also a few restaurants in the area too. The owner was super nice and helpful, I accidentally left my ski poles behind and he arranged for super quick delivery to Tokyo!

First Tracks Madarao has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Iiyama.
