Our room was very clean and comfortable. Best sheets I’ve ever slept in! Hot shower, tea facilities, TV and all. The pub downstairs was also super cosy and we enjoyed a drink there in the evening! Very good breakfast in the morning too! We were traveling with our dog so a dog-friendly guesthouse and pub is always a plus!

The Old Pound Inn has the best beds and pillows, and the bathrooms were modern.The owners are friendly, car park feels safe, beer was on tap great, breakfast was Home cooked full English plus more choices. Dinner in the pub X 2 nights for 5 people was fantastic authentic British dishes. We travel a lot and we rate this place 100!!!! Could not fault it and rich in history, who won't want to.stay in a 1680 pub!!!!!

Smashing village inn set in the English countryside. Accommodations are great and the food is marvelous. Kingsdon is managed by a super couple, Adam and Cinzia. (I hope they get an opportunity to have their own place one day.) Their service commitment is enviable. Stayed one night and planned dinner for 3 people here. Adam (chef) offers a surprising array of food items to choose from. Their kitchen pulls it off. Great presentation. Great flavors. Cinzia (front of house and a master of managing chaos I think :) is so nice. Everyone in my dinner party really enjoyed their dinner and the ambiance. Breakfast next morning was something to behold. I'm glad I changed my mind. I asked if I could have it the next day. Didn't want to live with that regret :) I would definitely like to return again with my wife next time.
