A lovely traditional local pub that's been modernised to include lodgings but has kept so many original features. Looks very picture-postcard from the outside with the red ivy (I think!) growing around the brickwork. Nice welcome at check-in and I was given a nice corner room with super four-poster style bed and corner bath. Great value for money with a top notch breakfast included (great fry-up, chef!). Breakfast was served in a lovely, large and bright open dining area at the rear of the pub.

We were stranded because of a car hire breakdown and the staff were marvelous in facilitating our arrival at 2:45 AM! The room was comfortable, a bottle of water was provided, and it was delightful to have such a comfortable bed after a difficult 12 hours.
