We are 2 long distance cyclists riding from the UK to Italy and the Gasthof Rose was exactly on our route in the centre of the delightful town of Hornberg just around the corner from the marketplace. It is a very comfortable traditional hotel run by a very charming lady. Good restaurant and an excellent breakfast. Very quiet. Very good secure bike storage in the hotel's garage. Very comfortable.

A hidden gem. Wish we had longer! We arrived at 10pm and check in was easy. We were even able to have a beer before retiring. Room was upgraded to a massive bed , as we are both over 6 foot. Came with a balcony - wish we had more time on it. Facing the flowing river and beautiful garden. Hair dryer and fan in the room. Roller shutter blinds to block light (much appreciated) Breakfast was included and thoroughly enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed here as it was en route, and so glad we did. Thank you :)
