The location of the Bear and Bison is absolutely stunning. Eating breakfast looking out onto the mountains was magic!!! The hot tub is a highlight of this gorgeous lodge.

We were traveling for several weeks, staying in a different place almost every night, and this was by far the best one of our entire trip — especially considering we stayed at two other places in Canmore. Although it’s not right in the center, we absolutely loved the location and the breathtaking views. Our room was incredible, with everything you could possibly need, and every corner of the property smelled amazing, which added to the warm and cozy atmosphere. One of the most special things about this place was how peaceful and private it felt. Even though we knew the house was fully booked, we never saw another guest — it truly felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Whether we were enjoying breakfast or relaxing in the lounge, there was this calm, intimate vibe that made our stay feel even more unique. Having coffee in the room was a lovely touch, but what really made it extra special were the little surprises — like complimentary cookies or candies waiting for you as you went up the stairs to your room. One evening, we picked up some delicious pizzas just 2 minutes away by car (or a 7-minute walk) and enjoyed them in the beautiful, super comfortable lounge. The lounge was another highlight — cozy, beautifully decorated, and perfect for relaxing. We played vinyl records with great music and even played the chess game, which made for such a memorable evening. The entire space felt thoughtfully designed and truly welcoming. We also had breakfast the next morning — the chai latte was fantastic. While the staff isn’t always on-site, that actually added to the peaceful atmosphere. And when we did meet them, they were incredibly kind and helpful.

The staff were amazing!! I think his name was Pavlo- so welcoming and helpful. He really made our stay great😆 The rooms were perfect and breakfast was such good value for money. 100% reccomend

The ambiance was just so homey, you wouldn't want to leave. Food was yummy, could have booked for more days. Will definitely come back.

Loved the cleanliness of the place, the quaint decor, the pub and the comfortable rooms. Staff was exceptional & friendly - special thanks to Alex, Emma and Katie (at the pub ). The toiletries need a special mention (the peppermint shampoo!) Location was very convenient, close by to the bus stops for Banff buses, supermarket... Main Street was a 10-15 minute walk and the rocky mountain bagel co right opposite.

It was cheap! Half the price to staying in Banff. Locating was great, we had a little kitchen, the staff were helpful.

The care for my partner and her birthday was awesome. The hotel helped me in ordering a 12 piece cupcake pull apart cake from Safeway. Loved the view too.
