IrelandVery friendly staff at the reception. Especially two male receptionists. I don't remember his name but he said he's originally from Sri Lanka. He was always helpful with everything. Like ordering taxi for my 3 conferences, organising portable heater on wheels because the heating in the room didn't work. Also when I arrived at the Ibis hotel i waited around an hour and from travelling of 21 hours in the plane i was falling asleep and he gave me the room faster than 2 pm. If i need to know about directions to Indian restaurant or supermarket etc etc they were always answering and guiding without any problems and always with a smile on the face. Room very clean, too. Nice hot breakfast, when ordered the day before cost 20 dollars. There's fridge, kettle with tea bags and coffee, iron, hairdryer in the room. I really recommend the Ibis hotel to anyone who needs to stay in Melbourne. I know myself I will stay again if I'll need to come to Melbourne in the future.

Stayed in the hotel for a week. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spaciously. I have stayed in many Ibis hotels and this is by far the best I have been in.

We chose the Ibis Melbourne Central because we intended to visit specific shops inside Melbourne Central and because it was slightly cheaper than the luxury hotels.
