Trengwainton Cottage is a newly built, beautiful off-grid sanctuary. It is a place to truly relax and absorb the magic of Hogsback. Enjoy spectacular sunsets or swirling summer clouds and mists from its large verandah with a built-in braai.

A nature-lovers’ dream: Birds and butterflies are regular visitors among the indigenous mountain plants; in winter, the mists roll in and snow may fall; in summer, expect flowers, fruit, and pink-gold sunsets. Multiple options for the energetic: Run or walk along the bluff alongside Trengwainton; hike or horseride in the surrounding Amathole mountains and forests; hire bicycles for dirt road adventures. Abseiling and archery are options too! Trengwainton is close to the Edge and the Eco Shrine.
