David and Simone Baber are your hosts at Summerplace Game Reserve. David was born on the farm and his love and passion shows in the work he does on the kms of trails he creates for you. Simone will warmly greet you at The Bike Village and try to assist you with everything you need.

Summerplace Game Reserve offers a healthy slice of rural bliss for the entire family.  This 3500 hector reserve is like no other. From luxury, comfortable and private accommodation to plenty of reserve fun for kids and adults alike.  Morning greetings from the African wildlife or a sunset visit from one of our wonderful giraffe, this is a reserve stay like no other and ideal for families or small groups. ​ This is a mountain biking paradise! Come and explore our wonderful trail network of pristine trails, cut into the majestic bushveld in the Waterberg area, just 25 minutes’ drive from Vaalwater, Limpopo.  Our trails cater for all forms of mountain biking, from a relaxed social ride with your family or mates, to our XCO specific built trails and routes, that cater for all levels of skill and fitness. Because we are primarily a MTB reserve, our wildlife is not dangerous to riders. We do not have the Big 5. ​ Whatever your choice, be it hiking trails, cycling for kilometres or just chilling on the stoop with a good book, you will enjoy beautiful scenery and the charm of the farm around you. ​ TIP: Vaalwater is 32km away, so it is advisable to stop there for food items before arriving at your self-catering accommodation. We now have a campsite that accommodates 40 people. Please Note: We ask guests to turn their noise down in the evening! We are a game reserve and don't like to disturb our animals and other guests.

Activities to do in the Waterberg St Johns the Baptist Church - The church at 24 Rivers was designed by Sir Herbert Baker. The stone and thatch church was completed in 1902 and is still in use today. Services are held on Sundays 9:30am-11:00am. Lekhalo Safaris Zipline - This is situated on the Dorset road not far from us. They accommodate a max of 10 people in a group. It is a great place to have such where they offer HUGE homemade burgers. Horse riding and game drives and be booked at Waterberg Cottages.
