The sound of the waves provide a soothing and relaxing soundscape. Uvongo is a lovely little seaside resort village on the Hibiscus Coast. Uvongo is probably most famous for its picturesque waterfall that plunges into a lovely little lagoon. The lagoon and beach are protected by cliffs and dense indigenous trees and foliage which must make Uvongo beach one of the most beautiful in the world. Paddle boats, as well as canoes, are for hire on the lagoon. Curios are available to buy or admire from the local craft market on the beach.  Uvongo beach has lifeguards and also shark nets, therefore, making it an excellent swimming and surfing beach. Furthermore, the Pavilion Restaurant overlooking Uvongo, apart from lovely views also has great food. Below the restaurant is a takeaway shop, ice cream shop, and beach apparel shop. Other attractions include numerous rock pools that stretch from Uvongo beach to Lucien beach and the Fishing Pier on the edge of the beach. Lillie Crona Avenue is a 2.5km stretch of road along the rocks between these two beaches which is abuzz with walkers, joggers, and cyclists every morning and evening.
