A historic farmhouse on a commercial farm in the Langeberg mountains of South Africa. We are 7th generation farmers and very passionate about what we do. The original farmhouse was built in 1741 by Johann Holtzhausen. The renovation was an absolute passion project between mother and daughter and as time passes the dream is to completely restore the house to its original, old world glory. For now the friendly warmth of the aga in the winter is reminder enough of what will once again be.
A sunshine personality with a thirst for adventure and a soft spot for a beautiful home! We are available at anytime to answer any questions via WhatsApp or if you would like to know more of anything on the farm you are more than welcome to come chat.
The farm is situated between Riversdale and Heidelberg. A 24km from both towns, about a 20min drive. And at the least a 16km stretch of gravel road. Our closest neighbours are 5km from us. You don’t need anything special to drive to the farm, a normal car will do the trick. And parking is on the grass at the back door of the farmstead.
