Giants Castle gets its name from the outline of the peaks and escarpment that combine to resemble the profile of a sleeping giant. The original farm house has been lovingly restored over four years by the Rockwood Fella, to give you a sense of complete one with nature. It takes you back to the colonial times in this uKhahlamba World Heritage site when animals roamed free and tribal people beat out their daily existence, and wars were an eventuality to claim pieces of this splendor. Reed buck and Duiker take their refuge in the surrounding indigenous garden in the whispering of the winds through the grass. As night tucks everything away, a million billion stars appear high above you winking sleep tight, you are safe.

The creator of this awesome space is artist and RockaFella, Wayne Heasley. His work is known throughout South Africa for its attention to detail and wonderland effect. You will never forget Rockwood once you have explored all the nooks and crannies!!

The majestic Drakensberg is in my opinion THE wonder of the world! The climate and the history is well pleasing and there is more to do than you can get done and explored in a month of days! You will visit year after year and see more wonders than you thought possible.
