It’s more than just a macadamia and avo farm, more than just a silkworm farm in Africa, more than just a place where you can find accommodation... the Africa Silks Farm is a mini holiday resort. We have a variety of accommodation from caravan stands and tent-houses, to log cabins, suites in a refurbished farmhouse and romantic accommodation for two in our Mulberry Lane Suites. We have a swimming pool, games room, walking trail and restaurant, a bar with a licence ( Own alcohol is not permitted and will be confiscated if you are found in possession of alcohol ) as well as ample dirt roads for mountain bike enthusiasts. Take a leisurely guided tour of the silkworms and learn more about these little creatures and their strange world. Some of our accommodation have Jacuzzis or spa baths while our Memory Lane Suites all have DSTV. We have three lapas on the farm where you can enjoy family braais or just sit around the campfire. Situated on the R533 between Graskop and Bushbuckridge, we are close to all the wonderful sights, waterfalls and interesting small towns this beautiful region has to offer.

The owners of the farm are Piet and Ronel Swart. Piet owns the accommodation, still farms with macadamia nuts and avocado's and is also a helicopter pilot. Ronel is the owner of Africa Silk and a working silk production farm in Africa! That's why we are also known as the Africa Silks Farm. We have daily guided tours to the silkworms and silk production.

We are situated 23 km outside Graskop in Mpumalanga. The farm is surrounded by plantations and indigenous forests. From the farm you can take a day trip to the Kruger National Park (less than an hour's drive to the nearest gate), as well as the Panorama Route where you can visit God's Window, the Pinnacle, Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls, Wonderview and the Bourke's Luck Potholes. You can visit the small towns of Graskop, Sabie, Pilgrim's Rest and Hazyview. There are plenty of waterfalls in the vicinity such as Bridal Veil, Forrest Falls, Lone Creek and the MacMac falls.
