Hills and Dales Accommodation was established in 2008 by Tim and Diane Savory, who continue to manage the property alongside a dedicated team of five staff members—many of whom have been with the company since its inception. Set on 23 hectares of countryside within the Cradle of Humankind tourism zone, the property has been lovingly transformed from a rundown estate into a graded 3-star self-catering retreat. Over the years, we've added two popular event venues—Jabulani and Hlala Lapha—as well as Fish Eagle Lodge, three swimming pools, four double Guinea Fowl Rooms, and have upgraded the two x couples' units and two x family units which overlook the river and hills. Renovations and upgrades are ongoing, including a newly added conference room and expanded solar system. Our garden, often described by guests as a ‘Garden of Eden’, is the result of 17 years of dedicated landscaping and care. We take pride in offering a peaceful, homely environment that appeals to guests seeking a relaxed countryside experience. While we’re not a luxury hotel, we offer warmth, charm, and a genuine connection to nature. Tim oversees property maintenance and development, while Diane manages marketing, catering, and administration. Douglas Muhlope serves as our Reservations Manager and staff supervisor.
