Built in the 1850s, this house showcases character and authenticity. The 70cm thick walls and Populus tree ceiling beams showcase the craftsmanship of the 1800, while the Cape Dutch architecture adds a touch of colonial elegance. Nestled on a working sheep farm at the foot of the majestic Langeberg mountain, this property offers a unique blend of history and the farming lifestyle.
A young at heart 70 year old farmer. He can look scruffy at times, but as a bachelor, the last thing he worries about is materialism. He loves entertaining people and has enjoyed restoring this historic building for others to appreciate.
Sakkie and his two border collies, Roxy & Jesse, live in an apartment adjacent to the main house with a separate entrance.
The farm is surrounded by fruit farmers. Although we only farm with sheep and have a few fruit trees for our own consumption. During harvest season, there are a lot more activities, but the house still offers its privacy.
We kindly request guests to refrain from picking any fruit off the surrounding orchids.
