We are a retired couple that used to sell real estate. I am a keen bird watcher and orchid collector. I love animals and cross breed sheep and chickens. My husband plays golf and is very handy around the property. Our main house and Cottage were designed and built by ourselves.

Eden Cottage is a self catering home away from home. We are situated 800m from the Uplands Private School's turn off. We are located on a small holding right in town. The property is 2ha and consists of the main dwelling with the Elephant room bachelor flat and Eden cottage. We built a dam (filled by a spring) on the property and our aim is to attract birds and other small mammals. We have domesticated animals, sheep, chickens and a dog. Guests are welcome to interact with the animals. There is a little boat on the dam and a deck to relax on. Fishing is permitted. (Catch and release). We live on a small holding surrounded by small farm activities on two sides, forestry on one side and an extension of White River town opposite us. There are beautiful and interesting cycling routes starting at our property and going to Sabie, Graskop or Hazy view. We love the country side because of the scenery. The Panorama route has lots to see: water falls, canyons, potholes, the Kruger National Park and exciting things to do.
