The landmark building is the 'windmill-house' which features one of the two communal areas. It was build by a Greek who wanted to live in a windmill.
Our big garden contains a selection of fruit trees. Some palm trees which are unique in the Cape.

The residential area around Rietvlei is a very historic area. A fresh water stream which runs into the vlei was used already by the first sailors coming ashore on the beaches of Blouberg. This underground stream is very close to SANCCOB the seabird rescue and rehabilitation centre. Not more than 500m from Cape Oasis Guesthouse.
