We moved from Botswana to Plettenberg Bay in March 2014. After a comprehensive search around fifty seven properties in four Garden Route towns, we chose Bayside Lodge because of its fantastic location. We have 25 years' experience in hospitality, upmarket lodge management and operations in Zambia and Botswana. We love Plett and all it has to offer our guests. Each day we see this gorgeous place through their eyes and just love it! We offer a warm but unobtrusive atmosphere and most of our guests are visiting Africa for the first time and they enjoy feeling safe as they are assisted with their experience of the Garden route.

Bayside Lodge is a typical four-star graded Bed & Breakfast which is perfectly positioned in a quiet residential area of "Plett" just three minutes' walk to Robberg beach and twelve minutes' walk to restaurants and shops. We provide four suites with unique features plus a swimming pool in a beautiful garden. Guests rave about our breakfasts which cater to all dietary requirements, and we provide beach bags, umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards and picnic sets. Three suites are located upstairs in the main house and Finch Cottage is in the garden with its own sitting room/kitchenette as well as a patio and barbecue. We offer welcome drinks and cold/hot facecloths during the briefing during which we offer maps, discounts vouchers and brochures. There is a guest lounge as well as a large patio outside the breakfast room. We live on the property and own two well behaved rescue dachshunds. Guests love the fact that they can walk home from local restaurants in the evening, and it is only a few minutes' drive to Robberg Nature Reserve - Plett's no. 1 attraction. The lodge is solar powered with battery backup and a generator. There is a reverse osmosis water filtration system for guests. PLEASE NOTE THE FINEPRINT - WE DO NOT ACCEPT MATRIC RAGE BOOKINGS. Bayside Lodge is situated in Seaside Longships which is a quiet residential area along Robberg beach. It is a three-minute walk to Robberg beach and there are restaurants and shops within walking distance. Access to the property is via an electric gate and we offer off-street parking.
