Tracey started her career in the tourism industry straight from school in England and worked in retail & business house travel before she joined South African Airways in 1983. During this time she grew her great passion for, and vast knowledge of, South Africa and after 8 years with the airline and 33 visits to South Africa, she decided it was time to emigrate! She was offered a job as Reservations Manager with the prestigious country hotel, Cybele Forest Lodge, between White River & Hazyview and met Greg 6 months after arriving. Greg grew up in Rhodesia and after his military service in SA he worked in conservation in Namibia followed by a few years overlanding around Southern Africa. In 1989 he started working as a ranger at the world-famous game lodge, Sabi Sabi. They married in 1992, started Indaba Safaris & soon gained an excellent reputation in the industry for their professionalism, knowledge & service. Their current company African Safari Adventures, with branches in Hazyview & Hoedspruit, has been running for 15yrs & offers escorted safaris, day tours & airport transfers.
There is so much to do in & around Hoedspruit with of course the most popular attractions being the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route, both within an hours drive. We offer day safaris in our own open vehicles and a selection of day tours in air-conditioned vehicles.
On the estate itself you can do bird walks, horse trails, cycle trails, sit at one of the bird hides at one of the dams, do a game drive or just relax at the house
