I used to work as an archaeologist and environmental scientist on the Navajo Nation. My specific interest was in the Anasazi pottery found at Chaco Canyon National Park and its outlying areas. In 2005, I helped start Comb Ridge Coffee in a lovingly remodeled historic trading post in Bluff, Utah. I met my husband Kelly while working for the National Park Service and waiting tables at the El Tovar Hotel at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Kelly and I retired from Comb Ridge in 2017 to build Willow Street Cottages and to enjoy the beautiful surrounds of Bluff, Utah.

We built these cottages for travelers who have made many miles in the day, whether by driving, rafting or hiking, and who wish for the plush comfort of a good bed and the solitude and grace of an overnight that feels like home. Our quiet Willow Street Cottages are three small energy-efficient houses and one studio apartment with views of the sandstone bluffs. Cottage A is an ADA accessible house with a larger bathroom. Cottages B, C, and Studio 2 have a washer/dryer. Cottage C and Studio 2 have a full kitchem. We offer fresh roasted coffee beans, as well as a selection of teas. Dog friends (up to two) are welcome at the cottages only with acceptance of our pet policies. These cottages are a great launching pad for many of the area's more famous attractions like Monument Valley and the Bears Ears National Monument.

Willow Street Cottages are between Bluff's famous "Round House", an amazing example of southwestern architecture that integrates Navajo building concepts with chic modern design, and the Comb Ridge Trading Post. The neighborhood is quiet and primarily residential. It is a stone throw away from incredible Anasazi petroglyphs and ruins. The Bluff River Walk, about a mile east of the cottages, is also a lovely place to take a stroll with friends and four legged critters. Butler Wash is an archaeological district on the National Register of Historic Places and is just a five minute drive from the cottages. Sand Island Boat Launch on the San Juan River, also a five minute drive, has a famous Anasazi petroglyph panel that is maintained by the Bureau of Land Management. Monument Valley, offers a unique experience on the Navajo Nation and is 45 minutes west of the cottages.
