Aska Adventure Area Location: The main trailhead location is at Deep Gap, a short 15-minute drive from the Welcome Center. Three other trailheads are at Stanley Gap, Shady Falls Road, and on Forest Road 711 by way of Campbell Camp Road. Bulletin boards at trailheads show maps of the area, and the trail system. Cherokee National Forest - This beautiful spot is within a 30 min drive of the cabin. The forest is separated into northern and southern sections by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and adjoins other national forests in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia. The forest is home to more than 700 miles of trails. Chattahoochee National Forest - This is also located within 30 min of the cabin. The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests have 37 developed recreation areas, 500 developed campsites, 200 picnic sites, 6 swim beaches and 530 miles of trails.
