The Island in Tucson is an 11 acres desert sanctuary and sculpture park, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park. Olivier and Emily live on the property as well. Enjoy the quietness of the desert in a safe environment, surrounded by art, cactus and wildlife, located at just 35 minutes from downtown Tucson. Please note that check in is in person only and not later than 10:00PM. No exception!

Olivier is a French visual artist using painting, sculpture and land art as medium of expression. Emily is a feminist activist working in the field of psychology. We are both critical thinkers with a high eco consciousness. We live in the property which is located in the desert just next to the Saguaro National Park in Tucson. Our house and guesthouses have been built in a way to reduce to its minimum our impact on nature without loosing comfort and esthetic.

The Island in Tucson is located right on the boundary of the Saguaro National Park in a neighborhood named Picture Rocks. This is a semi rural environment which means there are neighbors with domestic animals living in the vicinity. We also see a lot of wildlife living in the property or just passing through. The Island in Tucson is the perfect place for star gazing as there are no public lighting. Sunsets are usually spectacular too.
