Our family moved to the Mojave Desert during the pandemic and fell in love with the climate and our rural location. We had no idea how to care for a vineyard or make wine but we have had so much fun experimenting and sharing our adventure with guests. Tarantula Ranch is the closest private campground to Death Valley National Park’s most popular attractions and offers guests Camping, Glamping, and a Private Guest House year-round. All our sites overlook our vineyard where we grow grapes and produce wine in the Mojave Desert. We were recently featured in Sunset Magazine Online as one of America's Best Night Sky Campgrounds so bring your camera and enjoy the desert scenery. Amargosa Valley is a small agricultural community about 90-minutes from Las Vegas. We have 2 small markets, 3 restaurants, and 3 gas stations in town. Our place is about 20-minutes to Death Valley Junction and 45-minutes to Furnace Creek (Death Valley Headquarters).
