Paddler's Lane Retreat is a casually elegant retreat on the banks of our Wild and Scenic River, the Youghiogheny and is nestled in the outdoor mecca of the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, sharing a border with Ohiopyle State Park and it's many waterfalls bike trails, hiking trails, outdoor programs, rafting and canoeing and fishing, Our property is meticulously maintained and staffed with friendly and helpfull hosts, anxious to help you enjoy all this amazing area has to offer. The two houses are are finely built by master craftsmen and boast many original pieces of art and fine crafts. The property and gardens are maintained to make the best use of outdoor spaces for relaxing, playing and exploring. Come and join us!

There is so much to see and do in our neighborhood!
Our neighbor, Ohiopyle State Park has many free programs on local flora, fauna and history.Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic house "Fallingwater" is close by as is another of his famous houses, "Kentucky Knob" and "Polymath Park." If History is your thing you'll love to explore the area that George Washington surveyed and mapped (he really did sleep here!) and you'll enjoy learning French and Indian War history at Ft Necessity and Braddocks Grave on the National Road. For outdoor adventures you slide on the natural water slides, canoe, kayak, raft, fish or swim on the Youghiogheny river. There are many waterfalls to enjoy, from small and intimate to large and thundering cataracts.
The GAP bicycle Trail (the longest rails-to-trail in the US) is just across the river from us. If you would rather travel on two legs hiking trails are numerous and varied; ranging in difficulty from easy to expert. For wintertime fun there are 5 ski areas nearby and the best sledding hill in nine counties is just up the road from us. Flight 93 memorial should not be missed, and if antiquing is more your style you'll find various shops throughout the area.
