Tempe is a hip little city that is home to Arizona State University and the (world?) famous Mill Avenue. You can access both of these easily even if you don't have a car by taking the FREE Tempe Orbit shuttle. Pick up and drop off is located directly behind the house. The neighborhood has a few noteworthy family friendly features as well. Joyce Park is just down the street. Your kids will love it. And the city library is only a short 10 min walk or 3 min drive way.
