A wrap-around deck offers the opportunity to enjoy the view, BBQ, dine, or have a glass of wine as well a lucky few to see bears running across the property from a safe distance of course! Feel free to use the kitchen, living room, washer, and lower restroom. A printer is available for printing airline and ferry confirmations. We are "Bear Aware" in Haines. Bear spray, and air horns are offered for you while you are here. Points of interest: -Chilkoot lake is 8 miles up the Lutak road for fishing and bear viewing. -Eagle viewing everywhere and the Eagle Preserve is 20 minutes away up the Haines Highway. -Porcupine Bridge is at 26 mile and you can cross over to explore the area where "Gold Rush-Discovery was filmed at the Nugget mine. -If the timing is right, get fresh crab, halibut, coon shrimp, and salmon from the local fishermen in the boat harbor. The Borough has established quite hours between 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for residential lodging. No smoking anywhere on the property.
