Gardenview is located on a quiet, residential street- a short distance from the mansions, beaches, and the famous Ocean Drive. We are a short walk to the downtown restaurants and shopping area. A large yard is filled with flowers, a fish pond with a waterfall, and many birds to view and enjoy. Gardenview Bed and Breakfast is owned and operated by Mary Fitzgerald. Born and raised in Newport, RI, Mary has been operating Gardenview for over 20 years. Mary is also a grammar and history teacher who has watched Newport grow and change over the years. She is familiar with Newport's history and knows many stories and anecdotes relating to the City by the Sea! Being a life long resident, she has experienced the growth and changes in the city personally, and is a very proud Newporter! Her interests include gardening, reading, history, and traveling. Mary is happy and excited to share her knowledge of Newport with her guests as she loves her hometown!
