BlueWater BaseCamp was constructed in 2024 and boasts a brand-new Boutique Hotel that's freshly built and ready to welcome guests. With a total of 8 Chalets, including 5 small cabins and 4, 2 bdrm handicapped accessible chalets, we offer a range of accommodations to suit every preference. BlueWater BaseCamp is where people go to be cared for and find rest in nature without leaving the city. A Boutique Hotel and event venue in the Eklutna Valley, BWBC is a collection of 8 cabins and an event venue. Accommodations: The 1 bdrm Chalets, The Mitre & Pepper Peak, are perfectly sized for 2. These petite cabins feature a living room with a couch, chair and Murphy table. A kitchenette completely outfitted for your cooking needs with silverware, pots & pans, culinary tools, basic spices and of course, Keurig coffee maker. Induction stovetop, microwave and mini fridge are also available to cook up whatever you need. The ensuite Bathroom includes a shower, toilet & sink. Finally, the bedroom has a queen bed with built in closet space and a loft to curl up with a good book. The studio cabins, Ranger’s Roost, The Hideaway and Bashful Peak Cabins have all the same amenities as the 1 bdrm Chalets plus a soaking tub for your enjoyment instead of a loft. Ranger's Roost is dog friendly with an additional pet fee. The Large 2 bdrm Chalets are a great option for groups up to 6. Bold Peak, Twin Peaks and Bountiful Peak Chalets feature a fully handicapped accessible first floor, these cabins include a full kitchen, mid-sized fridge, gas stove with oven, microwave, table to seat 6 and all the kitchen tools needed to cook up something delicious. The bathroom is generously sized with a roll in, zero threshold shower, roll under sink, raised toilet and grab bars in all the right places. The living room with an L shaped couch looks out the double patio doors to your private deck and the woods beyond. The bedroom on the main floor has step free access with 2 options for bed heights (call/msg if higher bed is needed) and features a queen size bed with a large turning radius. Upstairs in the loft you will find 2 queen beds ready for the rest of the party. Bold Peak Cabin is the one you want if you need a dog friendly stay. Up to 2 dogs allowed with an addl fee.

Nestled in the mountains above Anchorage. BWBC is surrounded by federal & undeveloped private land which creates a serene retreat just 2 miles from the Eklutna Lake. Guests can easily access the lake for a nominal parking fee, where they can indulge in various activities such as hiking, renting mountain bikes and kayaks in the summer months. In the winter skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular in the area. For a summertime treat, Twin Peaks Treats, an ice cream and coffee shop, is conveniently located just 3/4 mile down the road towards the lake. The majority of hiking trails originate from the Eklutna Lake parking lot. The POW/MIA trailhead with a monument dedicated to fallen soldiers at the peak is situated approximately 1.5 miles before BWBC's driveway.
