BREAKFASTS ARE BACK at the Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast! We are located on the upper (safer) edge of the Kilauea caldera and offers exciting trails, caves, steam vents, walks along the Devastation Trail, tree molds and maybe even a glimpse of the eruption if its acting up on this active volcano.
This B&B is on the east side of the Big Island , about 2 1/2 hours from Kona and about 45 minutes from Hilo. Since most people want to see the "glow" and stars at night, we recommend spending at least 2-3 nights stay here in order to account for the travel time and all the things to do in the park.
You will find that the Aloha Junction B&B was built circa 1930s and is conveniently located in the heart of Volcano Village with several restaurants, small grocery store, and a gas station nearby some within walking distance.
The home is secure with a gated entrance and security cameras facing the parking lot and outdoor private entrances. It is a mere 5 minutes from the Hawaii Volcano National Park Visitor Center where the Park Rangers are stationed and eager to give out updates and current news about the volcanoes.
Aloha Junction B&B offers 5 unhosted Suites. Each suite has private entrances, with key codes located inside the home and outside the home. Here you will find a cool and quiet rainforest environment close to 4000' elevation. No air conditioners are needed here ~Just maybe a wind jacket, a sweater and warm socks.
All Suites have private bathrooms, kitchenettes, high-speed internet, smart T.V.'s, space heaters, large beds and warm fluffy comforters. Each guest room is equipped with mini fridge, microwave, coffee makers, cutlery and dishes, some condiments if you wish to cook.
Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast is a pet friendly rental. The property owner, Susan Hughes lives in a separate home in the far back. Susan has a large vegetable garden, 2 friendly dogs, and layer hens. Occasionally in the mornings "Bear" will come to greet guests on his routine stroll.
