This property sits on raised ground for viewing sections of Mount Elgon and sorrounding areas. We have altogether five staff including myself. The property was renovated to allow for travelling, working, tourist and other types of guests to rest in a quiet environment away from town. It constists of 16 self contained rooms and a suite. Our mission is to provide affordable, clean, quiet accommodation in a home environment. We have a large compound/garden. Each room has a bed, a study table, a fan (some) TV set and free wifi. The 16 rooms can be separated by a centrally positioned locakble door into half i.e. 8 rooms on each side. Our most important character is cleanliness - beds and bathrooms are meticulously clean. Apart from business considerations, our pricing policy is guided by the need to maintain a calibre of clinets who reinfource our character of a clean and and quite environment. We maintain a smoke-free environment outside and inside of rooms. This property is secured by armed security at night. A large parking is provided for free both at night and day. There is tree shade for clients to rest under during the day.

Work responsibilities have taken me to Kenya, Tanzania, Rwnda, Zambia, South Africa, United Kingdom and South Sudan. I have worked with persons of different race and religiours affiliations. I am above 50 years of age with a family of 5 children - all of whom have graduated from university. I like making friends with persons of all ages and gender. I speak mainly the English lunguage, Ateso from the Eastern part of Uganda and bits of the local lunguages. Lucia Villas Mbale is located out of town in a middle-income settlement called "Half London". A few streets away to the north, is a rural settlement which can be reached on foot. The neighbourhood is generally quiet with children playing along the not-so bussy streets. For a really quiet rest after exploring the beautiful serene and generally green environment, Lucia Villas provides a spacious garden with native fruit trees which are host to a number of bird species. From the Villas, visitors are able to see sections of Mount Elgon and will be able to reach some of its spectacular sites like Sipi Falls (1 hour's drive to the East}, and, to attempt a climb of Mount Elgon. In one and half hours, visitors can reach Jinja - where the River Nile starts its long journey to the north Africa. If you wish to see typical Ugandan households, you can take a walk to the rural setting in the neighbourhood where there is a settlement of various Ugandan tribes. Mbale town is surrounded by a rich agricultural catchment area that produces lots of grain, various fresh fruits, fresh vegetable and most animal products for food.
