30 Wilson is situated in a quiet and peaceful suburb of Jinja, with some of the tallest palm trees in Jinja and a garden shaded by two ancient Jacaranda trees. The team at 30 Wilson are very proud of the continued lifestyle philosophy as can be found on the Hairy Lemon Island – that of “living in harmony with your environment”. 30 Wilson has a stunning thatched boma which houses the restaurant and bar Bacchus as well as a beautiful swimming pool in which guests can cool off after an adventure filled day. A variety of affordable accommodation is on offer ranging from camping to single, twin or double en-suite rooms and cottages (with their own kitchenette, lounge and dining room) as well as four funky dormitories that offer 4 bed, 5 bed or 6 bed combinations; all with their own bathrooms and private veranda. Simple gray water drainage systems have been built and designed in such a way that the hibiscus hedges and gardens are given a much needed growth boost; solar lights have been installed in the garden, cottages and restaurant - all very much in keeping with the philosophy of "keep it green and do no harm"

30 Wilson is situated a short walk from the Nile River which has just started its long journey from Lake Victoria. Jinja itself also has a rich and varied bird life, with many endemic species on a "twitchers" wish list. 30 Wilson is a short 5 minutes (by boda boda or vehicle) from Jinja town, which offers visitors a myriad of shops, restaurants and curio shops to wander through. The local market is abundant with fresh produce that overflows and provides a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, colours and smells to test one's senses.
