There's plenty to interest you and lots to do here in Entebbe the gateway to Uganda. Why not go sailing, swimming or play a round of golf on East Africa's oldest course, a very challenging 6684 Yards Par 71.
Feeling less energetic then we can arrange for you to visit the Zoo (golfers get to see Rhino, monkeys etc. for free from the 3rd and 4th fairways) or stroll peacefully around the timeless botanical gardens. For film buffs this is where Jonny Weismullers Tarzan film was made. A half day trip to Mabamba swamp to see the rare and endangered Shoebill stork as well as a myriad of other wild birds, travel in a Ssese canoe or in a luxury power boat depending on your budget. Take a sunset cruise on the enormous Lake Victoria in a local canoe and eat freshly cooked Tilapia on your return or splash out on a wine and cheese cruise from Wild Frontiers a real treat as the sun sets over the lake.
Local markets are lively and you can always grab a bargain with no price difference between a designer item that has been donated in USA/UK and a bottom end product. Fresh fruit and vegetables are cheap and wonderfully full of flavour, not identikit as you find in western shops.
