The company started in 2012, with a Guest House in a rented premise that operated in Entebbe for eight years. In October of the same year, the construction of African Roots Entebbe commenced at Bubuuli (Impala), however due to the pandemic, it shut down for close to 2 years and reopened for business in February 2022. In May 2019 the African Roots brand expanded to Gulu which now boasts of 14 en-suite guest rooms, a coffee shop and a restaurant.

Perched in Bubuuli a residential area of Entebbe, African Roots Guesthouse boasts of 10 spacious rooms, Tiki hut restaurant and roof top terrace overlooking a spacious lush green garden. Just 20 minutes’ drive from the airport, African Roots is situated near most of the famous Entebbe attractions, shopping areas, curio & craft market making it ideal for business and leisure travelers.
