Serving or helping others gives me energy, it lifts my spirit and I feel it helps the world; guests wrote they found me "super friendly and super helpful!". I enjoy gardening, cooking & eating amazing foods here (especially the eating!); I love good company, walking, traveling, art work, yoga, singing & taking care of my dogs are my favourite "to do's". I worked in the Bangkok hotel industry for awhile so I strive to provide a home stay with a professional touch. Whether you like to relax in one of my four private bedrooms, chill out with complete privacy or realise a more delicious life with Scenn's Thai cooking tutorials, you will be welcome (my guests wrote "you won't find such high quality learning opportunities in the big cities as you will at Villa Scĕnns"). My eco credentials include: sun dried laundry; chemical free gardens; no car or motor-bike ownership, recycle roof & kitchen water for gardening as appropriate; local in-season foods; locally foraged ingredients; we grow our own; we plant rosewood & tamarind trees; we suggest low-impact nature trails; we are preserving our original wooden Sangkla house.

Villa Scĕnns is an elegant brick & terracotta private country guest house with just 4 bedrooms & beautiful ever changing hill forest, mountain & water views; Mon bridge 15 min's walk (1.1km), Wat Wang Wiwekaram 45 min's walk (3.6km) The atmosphere is cool, spacious, peaceful & private with bright airy rooms & comfortable beds. The bedrooms (top floor 2 bedrooms; ground floor 2) & large bathrooms include: air-con., ceiling fans, full length mirrors & universal charging adapters at your finger tips. Your large living space has tables & seating for 12 & free unlimited filtered drinking water. Our chaos tropical gardens with exotic edibles touch the lake at high water & a stream at low water; you'll wake to bird songs delightfully real, or mist from the water; come & catch some awesome floral scents; a lovely place to stay. Guests love watching clouds hiding in the valleys from Villa Scĕnns & breathing the sort of clean country air you'll only find when surrounded by 18,700 square km. of rich bio-diverse wild habitat. Villa Scenns guests said they love the green peace in our corner of Sanghla, feeling at the heart of nature yet conveniently just 2-5 minutes walk to a few coffee shops, resorts & restaurants. On one side our garden borders the water, forest & hills of Khao Laem national park, on the other we're part of the Sangkhla buri residential & resort community; the busier market & shopping area is just 3 minutes drive (30 minutes walk). Many guests walk 15 minutes to the Mon bridge, floating village & on to the Mon village enjoying cool or misty mornings & the easy country village atmosphere with the mist kissed mountains beyond; once there they mingle with others, join the popular Alms giving ceremony, enjoy breakfast by the bridge at several popular spots or hire a boat to explore the submerged temples, lake, rivers & jungle. Visitors enjoy the unspoiled Thai, Mon, Karen, Burmese & Lao rural communities & their colourful markets, Bhuddist temple ceremonies or festivals and other events; who wouldn't enjoy the clear night skies, communing with nature & the slow life here at Villa Scĕnns.
