Our house is typical for these islands. It is a simple wooden house on stilts in the rainforest. If you're looking for the luxury of a five-star hotel, you've come to the wrong place. I highly recommend this house for adventurous people who love nature and peace.
Nevertheless, the house is well equipped. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bedroom has a mosquito net, the bathroom is brick.
The house has a large L-shaped terrace with a wonderful view of the plantation with coffee trees, cacao trees, banana trees, citrus trees and the distant ocean. I personally love sunrises on the terrace with coffee on the table. In the morning, you will be woken up by the singing of birds and the sounds of the forest waking up.
In the evening, on the other hand, you can observe small geckos hunting flies and moths or bats flying around the terrace.
About 15 minutes away on foot is an incredibly beautiful and lonely beach. It's so lonely that you're almost glad that a fisherman comes by every now and then.
In close proximity is the entrance to The Obô Natural Park of Príncipe, where you can visit the waterfall O que Pipi, or you can see how cocoa is harvested and dried. For more physically fit people, I recommend climbing Pico Papagaio. Of course, there are many beautiful and secluded beaches in the vicinity, as well as historical buildings from the colonial period.
Principe Island is a green jewel in the Gulf of Guinea with nice and smiling people.
Be welcome,
Andrea - owner, Lucindo - building administrator, Mariley - cook and good spirit of the house.
We are always happy to welcome our guests and do our best to make them feel at home. We are very simple people but we love to help and make others feel good.
The house is surrounded by forest and plantation. You can watch birds, grey parrots and if you are lucky, monkeys. The ocean is a short distance away where you can dive and snorkel. Beautiful beaches, clean and lonely. The house is built on the edge of the Obo Natural Park. You pass the entrance to the park on the way to the house. The O que Pipi waterfall is within walking distance. There are many original Portuguese buildings on the island. Some are beautiful ruins overgrown with vegetation, some have been renovated into luxury hotels. The house ensures complete peace in the middle of the vegetation.
