Must do a 5 min walk on the Kostanjevica monastery - Fantastic view and there is an old church also. Here you can raise your adrenaline in a fabulous nature like Solkan/ kayaking or Lijak/paragliding but challenging the luck in casinos will rush your adrenaline too. It is nice to cycle on cycling routes through the city to the fantastic Soča river side. MUST DO THE VINE TOUR IN BRDA or VIPAVA VALLEY or KRAS we're in the middle of three different wine-growing environments with some of world best vines. WW1 history is all around us, visit the mt. Sabotin memorial park, Museo della grande guerra, or one of many other memorials. In the summer we get 25 min trip to reach the Adriatic sea side - Sistiana beach or better Portopiccolo. In the winter we get a good hour trip to the Alps and high mountain alpine ski courses Kanin/Sella Nevea 2400m Daily trips to Postojna cave, Lipica stud farm, Venice, Trieste, Ljubljana (None more than 1 hour/car away)
