House Wisteria – a place where time stands still.
On the edge of a Karst village, among pine trees, vineyards and stone walls, you will find a space of calm and simple luxury. The two apartments in a renovated stone house are bright, comfortable and furnished with natural materials. Guests receive a welcome gift on arrival – a local wine and a light snack.
From the terrace or under the wisteria vines you inhale fresh air and feel the slower pace of the typical Karst landscape. Just a few minutes away are the sea, the Soča river, mountains, the Gulf of Trieste, nature reserves and Italian border towns.
We also offer to organize activities for you with trusted partners – cycling, hiking, sailing, diving, climbing.
House Wisteria is the ideal choice for those who wish to relax in nature and at the same time explore a diverse region. Every guest is welcome – and we truly mean it.

House Wisteria – your corner of peace between the Karst and the blue horizon.
On the edge of the rocky plateau, right on the borderline between Slovenia and Italy, lies the quiet Karst village of Sela na Krasu. House Wisteria is located on the sunny edge of the village, with views that reach all the way to the Gulf of Trieste, morning light, fresh air scented with pine and juniper and the whisper of the bora wind. Just fifteen minutes away lies the everyday world – here time slows down.
Because of its exceptional location it is a perfect starting point for:
– hikers seeking maintained trails across Karst fields, vineyards and through history (literally past former 1st World War front lines),
– cyclists wishing to explore hidden villages and scenic low‑traffic roads,
– nature lovers who are thrilled by the proximity of the Soča river, the sea and karst caves,
– explorers drawn to visits to Gorizia, Trieste, the Vipava Valley, Štanjel or even Venice.
We are happy to recommend:
– local ‘osmicas’ and wine growers,
– outstanding restaurants in Slovenia and Italy (some reachable by bike),
– selected places to visit: Lipica Stud Farm, Vilenica cave, Miren Castle, Soča front, museums in Gorizia and Trieste, the lagoon at Grado.
House Wisteria offers privacy, comfort and freshness. Guests can arrive with ease from multiple directions – the village is accessible from Goriška, the Karst or the coastal side. The shortest route leads via Brestovica, the most comfortable via Miren and Kostanjevica na Krasu.
There are no traffic lights here. Only an old stone bench in front of the house, the scent of wisteria and the feeling that you have arrived at a place where you can truly rest.
