WELCOME TO VILA MAJA, THE ADRIATIC PEARL. The first and third floor come with a shared terrace in front of the Vila. The second floor comes with a separate private balcony. In this floor you can choose between a double bed or 2 separate beds. Sunbathing in your rooms, on the terrace or the balcony you will be delighted by magnificent sundowns on the Adriatic sea behind the "Punta", the St Mary of the Health church and the headlight. VILA MAJA one of the oldest Vila on the pit was probably built in the fifth century and enlarged on the first city wall of the thirteenth century. Modernizing our Vila, we found ancient doors, windows, niches, a brick oven and a fountain collection the rainwater from the roof. The third floor wall crafted with white stones conserves this water duct and 2 niche. The south's wall arch is hand crafted with 300 years old bricks. From here also you have an enchanting panorama. Two kitchens are overlooking a small square conserving the 800 years old "Milje" porch. The sunny VILA MAJA is furnished with antiques, fully equipped, very pleasant to stay, surrounded by beaches where you can sunbath, take a swim or discover the unique underwater flor.

I am MAJA, born in Ljubljana, studied and worked some years in France and came back to PIRAN as soon as I could. My sunny VILA MAJA is fabulous and has the best & healthiest position in Piran. We restructured this house with love, respecting her personality and her history. From every where you will hear and smell the sea spray. This house always was and still seems to be a part of me, I identify myself with her, as I spent my whole childhood here. All near neighbors are very friendly and "Punta" still remains like a small village, where everyone is happy to help everyone. I fluently speak 8 languages, am very positive thinking, well organized, communicative, helpful and will be delighted to guide you through my historical town, in your excursions through Istria or the whole Slovenia, if you wish so. I like all numerous cultural, artistic, musical and folklore festival activities organized here during the touristic summer festivities. Swimming, cycling, walking, watching TV, hearing music and communicating with you, my dear guests are my favorite. In winter like a swallow I like to visit some other country, take time to write my fiction book and learn some new language....

"Punta" the original district of the Piran's peninsula, picturesque small port with venetian influence classified "historical monument" well preserved its mediaeval appearance : tall colorful houses sticked one on an other, stone handcrafted exterior stairs, balconies, hidden gardens, and labyrinthine alleys. The second district preserves a huge fountain and the first town's church built here. The third district extends to the main town's square named after the famous musician and composer Guiseppe Tartini. The other districs invite you to discover the "Piran's soul" in its museums, its convents, its 12 different churches and its 7 city walls.. From the hill's top you will discover a fantastic panorama : all Piran's roofs, the town's protector St George's church, the Julian and Dolomite Alps, Italy, Istria, Coatia and the salt fields. The famous healing climate of this area and the therms nearby will dynamise you. On bike or by car you can discover the salt fields, the Istrian's countryside with olive threes, wine yards and the whole secret Slovenia if you wish. Fresh fish cooked in olive oil served with fine istrian wines will satisfy the most "gourmand and gourmet"....
