Our cozy cabin offers comfort and tranquility, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Jämtland. You enter the cabin from the back, where a spacious hallway welcomes you. Here, you can hang your coats and access both the bathroom and the second bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an oven, a 3-burner electric stove, coffee and tea essentials, and a large refrigerator with a small freezer. The living room is a great relaxing place, featuring a comfortable 3-seater sofa, two armchairs, and a large wood stove for extra coziness. You can watch (Free-to-Air) TV on the smart TV or be captivated by the breathtaking view through the large windows, where nature unfolds in all its glory. Adjacent to the living room is the spacious master bedroom. It is furnished with two box spring beds (80x200), which can be placed together or apart. You will also find a large wardrobe and a toy chest filled with toys for children up to 12 years old. The room can be fully darkened for a good night’s sleep thanks to the long daylight hours. Back in the hallway, you will find the spacious bathroom with an ecological toilet, a large sink, and a shower. The second bedroom, also located in the hallway, features a practical bunk bed, ideal for children or extra guests. Our cabin combines comfort with the tranquility of nature, offering a wonderful stay for families, friends, and couples!

We’d love to introduce ourselves! We are Tjarda Gihaux and Ronald van Willigenburg. In early 2022, we moved to the beautiful Jämtland region of Sweden with our two children. Before that, we lived in the Netherlands, just half an hour north of Amsterdam. While we enjoyed our life there, we longed for more space, tranquility, and freedom—things we found in abundance here at stunning Lake Mörtsjön. Every day, we are amazed by the breathtaking skies, the untouched nature teeming with wildlife, and the warm, welcoming people. The authenticity, the deep-rooted culture and traditions, and the endless outdoor activities make this place truly special. Life here is about slowing down, embracing nature, and finding real peace. If you’re looking for a day trip, Östersund, the largest city in the region, is a great option. It offers supermarkets, shopping centers, cultural attractions, cozy cafés, and a beautiful lakeside setting by Storsjön. However, you don’t have to go far to experience breathtaking nature.
