The holiday home is newly built with 55 sqm and has a lovely space with double ceiling height in the combined living room and kitchen. There is a double bedroom, a loft with two single beds and one extra bed.
The smal pool maintains 38-39 degrees all year round. The bath does not have bubbles but a relaxing lighting. You have the pool all to yourself on the patio deck outside the cottage. It's a shelter wall around the pool to make it more protected and provide a cozier atmosphere. The garden is shared with the host couple, but the cottage and terrace are located so that there is minimal visibility between the house and the cottage.
In the garden there are coffee tables, jumping stands and swings free to use for guests. The bathing place in Lake Färingen is 1 km away. This bathing place is located at the edge of the forest and has both a small sandy beach and rocks. The cottage is located in the corner of our garden with lush views of Lake Färingen. It's a reed area with rich bird life.
Pets are not allowed in the cottage.
The Hosts
We are Anna & Stefan, living in the house next door and running Sweden Cabins – four unique holiday homes in northern Bohuslän. We are available if needed but let our guests enjoy their holiday in peace. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions – we are always close at hand.
Sweden Cabins consists of:
• The Blomsholm Cabin – garden cottage with hot tub (sleeps 5)
• The Buar Cabin – country-style home with large terrace (sleeps 8)
• The Solhem Cabin – charming house with retro kitchen (sleeps 8)
• The Nordby Cabin – cozy family home close to shopping and nature (sleeps 6)
The cottage is located by beautiful walking areas with ancient monuments. A few hundred meters from the cottage is Sweden's third largest shipwreck (stones placed in shape of a ship), Blomsholm's shipwreck. There is also a stone circle and other ancient remains beautifully situated in an oak forest. There is a nice loop that takes about 20-30 minutes to walk that starts 50 meters from the cabin.
Bohuslän and the west coast are fantastically beautiful and unique with rocks, cobs, seaweed, crabs and mussels. From Strömstad, boats go out to Koster Islands, Sweden's most inhabited place. Koster Islands has a marine nature reserve and is known for it's beautiful environment.
