The home was built in 1937, so it is a rustic Romanian village house, with a beautiful ceramic tile wood stove. The bathrooms and indoor plumbing were added when it was converted into the vacation home for the AMURTEL Family childrens home nearby. The parking will be done on DN10- on the side of the road. We do not have TV or wi-fi. The car is left on the road and then a grassy path leads 200 to 300 metres to the house. The luggage is carried naturally on your hands. There are two rooms, one of which is a connecting room, but only one has a fixed bunk bed on two floors (four) and the other room has a single sofa bed and they have a folding bed. In case our property is booked by another guest please contact us- we have another location in Panatau where we can accommodate you and it is not listed. We can not accept last minute bookings- all the bookings need to be made with 24 hours in advance

AMURTEL Romania runs a family-style children's home nearby that offers safety, love, and opportunities to 12 children taken out of situations of neglect and abuse. The proceeds from your stay will benefit the children.

The bus from Bucharest stops right in front of the property. It is within easy walking distance of the Buzau river, or you can hike to the top of a nearby mountain overlooking the area. It is about 45 minutes away from the Mud Volcanoes of Berca, and a similar distance to Alunis where there are ancient caves dug by hermits into the rock, or the Carnu monastery with the most ancient chapel in the Buzau Valley.
