Sunset Beach House

I love to walk on the beach and walking on this beautiful nature. For me the most important is to preserve nature and old and charismatic habitats and share with my family this way of life.

With broad windows over the atlantic and the local beach – the best urban beach in Portugal, according to tourist guides –, our house has everything you'll need to feel at home while on holidays. Located just a few footsteps away from the main town square, the local shops and restaurants are even within viewing distance. The bakery is 200 meters away, the local market is 100 meters and the grocery store just 50. Anyone can enjoy their stay to the fullest without ever needing a car.The nearest beach is almost unbelievable 3 minutes away on foot but there are others to the north or to the south just around 15m away and less crowded, one of them a known nudist spot. As for the house, it is built on 4 interconnected floors: The basement with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a winter garden with natural lighting coming from the upper floor; the main floor with an additional 2 bedrooms and a bathroom; the social floor with a big living room area with american style kitchen and a WC; and finally the terrace with its amazing views over the ocean and the surrounding fishermen's village which has a barbecue set up, a WC and a shower outside. All the bedrooms have big wall-to-wall closets.

Zambujeira is great pretty much all year round, the winter months are calmer but the nature is better, more vivid and wild, and there are several town fairs that time of year, where you can sample local cuisine and traditional drinks and culture. From April to September, of course, it is unbeatable as a summer destination and the choice for people that prefer to avoid the Algarve crowds but still want to sample the mediterranean food culture and experience.Apart from the breathtaking ocean vistas and sunsets you'll get from the house and village watching points, there much to see if you walk a bit around off the town center. The now famous Rota Vicentina (Vicentine hiking routes), can take you north, south or to the east in full hiking discovery mode, through the Natural Park that surrounds the area. If you're a bird watching fan you'll have photo opportunities abound to the north, on the cliffs where the storks make their nests. And If you walk the 2.5Km stretch to the north towards the fishing harbor, you'll also see an immense pre-historic dune ecosystem with dozens of plant species that exist nowhere else on Europe.
