Set in the medieval Monastery of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, this charming boutique hotel features a restaurant serving traditional dishes from the Castelo Branco district. It is located on the slopes of Esperança Mountains. The elegant restaurant offers local dishes with a Nouvelle cuisine touch, and a seasonal mushroom menu. The chapel has been converted into a lounge and bar, yet keeping many original features. All the rooms of Pousada Convento de Belmonte have a balcony overlooking the Estrela Mountains Nature Reserve. They feature antique furniture, wrought-iron bed frames, and are decorated with stonework and relaxing sand colours.
