Madeira Sunset Cottage is a very personal project, designed by a family to be a haven away from the city. Our main focus as a company is to provide meaningful stays with a low carbon footprint. Guests can expect a peaceful stay, service with a personal touch and a home-like atmosphere. We understand that time is precious, so we always ensure prompt responses and are also open to suggestions for improvement. The environment is a key issue in our business and we take concrete steps on a daily basis to make it as sustainable as possible. Our environmental preservation programme includes monitoring and reducing water consumption, using renewable energy, absence of pesticides in the gardens and orchard, composting, recycling and repurposing materials and furniture and usage of certified cleaning products and amenities. The same family, whose company exists for over 30 years, also owns two properties in Funchal: ASPA - São Paulo Studios and ASPA - Alegria Studios. A combined accommodation programme, providing both country and city stays, can be created and customised.

Madeira Sunset Cottage is located in the most south-western and rural villa of the island, Ponta do Pargo. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with evergreen landscapes, stunning sunsets and amazing levadas. From here you can explore some amazing hidden treasures like: Cabo; Pico Vermelho; Garganta Funda Waterfall; the highest lighthouse in Portugal, or, go for a long walk through some breathtaking levadas...Levada dos Moinhos is one of our favorites.
