Whether you travel alone or in company, you can stay in one of three typical Portuguese apartments: one with 1 bedroom, one with 2 bedrooms and one with 3 bedrooms. Outside there are several spacious sun terraces. All bed and bath linen is included, including beach towels. WiFi is free. So are all the facilities for babies (baby bed, duvet, pillow, night light, ...).

At the end of 2021 we, Frederik and Kristof, became owners of an old Portuguese vivenda painted white-pink in the surf town of Peniche, just 100 meters from the ocean and within walking distance of all restaurants, bars, shops, ... We lived there ourselves from day one and with a little help restored the three apartments to their authentic Portuguese glory. Now we open guesthouse Beach Break here. Welcome to this beautiful walled port city with a well-preserved fortress, where the authoritarian governor Salazar held his political prisoners, among others. It now houses the Liberation Museum. Peniche is of course best known as the European capital of wave surfing, with its many surf spots with phenomenal waves. The World Cup surfing is always held here in October. The city is located on a peninsula with a beautiful lighthouse on Cape Cabo Carvoeiro. Of course you can also visit it. The entire peninsula is currently in the running to become a UNESCO Intangible Heritage. As you drive down the Marginal Norte and Marginal Sul, you'll understand why: the ocean has eroded the cliffs here in a stunningly beautiful way. With Carreiro de Sao Marcos you can also visit one of the most beautiful bays in the world here, at least according to Lonely Planet. Boats leave daily from the harbor to the phenomenal island group Islas das Berlengas. Not to mention the nearby area: Obidos, Foz do Arelho, Nazaré, Sintra, ... even Lisbon is only 90km away!
